Checking a link
A link can be checked in two ways. Paste a copied link into the field, or type the web address directly, such as https://www.amazon.com. Once the link is entered, the Link Checker analyzes it and returns a result.
Understanding the result
For most websites, the result shows whether the site is safe, suspicious, or unsafe, along with a short explanation.
For shopping sites, the result also includes a trust rating from 1 to 5 stars, based on how reliable the site is. A lower score can be a sign of poor customer experience, such as problems with payments or returns, and is worth taking seriously before making a purchase. Fake and malicious sites receive the lowest rating along with a clear warning.
Trusted sites are recognized as well. For example, https://www.bankofamerica.com is shown as a trusted banking site, which helps confirm that a link is genuine and not a lookalike designed to steal login details.
Working with Browsing Protection
